Loyal Dog refuses to leave the side of 67 year old owner killer in storm Ciara

Mr Donald HAMILTON BAXTER aged 67 of Woolton was walking his loyal dog "Taz" through Woods near his home in Woolton when he was crushed to death by a falling tree.

When Paramedics and Police arrived at the location, Taz was still sat at his side before the man was pronounced dead.

Taz is now being cared for by Mr Baxters family.

A police spokesman said: 'We can confirm that the man hit by the falling tree branch in Black Wood in Woolton has sadly passed away.

'The man, who is in his 60s and from the Liverpool area, has now been identified and his next of kin have been informed.
